Once you’ve decided to rent an apartment in Wichita, the next most important decision to make is in which neighborhood you want to live in. Kansas’s most populous city boasts a wide variety of neighborhoods to choose from, each with its own particular attractions.
Those who would like to be in the center of city life could find an apartment in Downtown Wichita. The Downtown and Old Town areas boast of many historical structures which have been renovated into apartments, condominiums and lofts. Many new businesses and homes are also sprouting in the neighborhoods of Northeast and Northwest Wichita, which are both enjoying rapid development.
Each of these neighborhoods has their own average rents which prospective renters should take into account. The cheapest apartments can go as low as $300 to $400 a month, while townhouses and luxury apartments can go for $800 a month upwards, depending on the neighborhood. But whichever neighborhood you choose to live in, life in Wichita, the Air Capital of the World, will be exciting and enjoyable.
